A new Australian escape

The city that hides its best things down alleys.

Lane Royale Casino Hotel is a fictional destination in the laneway heart of an Australian city famous for burying its finest bars, cafes and galleries down narrow graffitied alleys you would never find by accident. Raw concrete, hot pink, spray-can lime and warehouse brick run through the whole casino hotel, converted from a block of old rag-trade warehouses.

Follow the murals through the lanes by day, coffee in hand. Duck into a six-seat bar you will never find again. Then step off the alley into our adults-only casino salon, loud and low-lit and unmistakably urban. Everything in this casino hotel borrows its attitude from a city that treats the back streets as the main event.

Alley Restaurant

Small plates, big city.

Our signature restaurant runs like the best of the city's small bars—a short, changing menu of share plates built from multicultural Australia, from Vietnamese herbs to Italian pasta to Middle Eastern grills, all cooked over one open kitchen. The coffee is serious, the wine list is natural and local, and the room spills out into the laneway beside the casino hotel lobby.
